Rescue Me ID: 18-01-06-00083Luna (female)

Bouvier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current

Luna is CGC and CGC-A trained, has been in obedience training since 4 months of age. She is a great dog, couch potato and wonderful in house alone for short periods of time. She would be best in home with smaller dogs, as she is dominant dog in our home. She was in training for mobility service dog work, but she is guard dog/herding breed and is reactive to anthing going fast, such as skateboards, cars, bikes. So unable to take her everywhere. But she has been well socialized and has over 200 hours of public access work. She will bark at noises but not dangerous, so good for protection. She is large (80 pounds) so people will not ... This is a very hard decision to adopt her to another home, but I now am training another mobility service dog who is anxious around Luna, Luna is the alpha and will not allow my new dog around me as she needs to be. Luna is a great dog for someone who has fenced yard, wants protective but loving pet. She just wants to be near her owner. I really want her to have great home and someone who will love her. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bouvier in Kentucky
Bouvier Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Bouvier is a shaggy, intimidating looking dog. Bouviers are quite gentle, pleasant, and mellow. Bouviers are easy to train for obedience and make good guard dogs and watchdogs. Also, Bouviers love children and make great family pets. Bouviers have dominant tendencies and need firm training and socialization starting early. Bouviers are very loyal and can be overprotective of their families. Bouviers can get along well with cats and other dogs if they are raised with them from the time they are puppies. Bouviers may be aggressive toward some other dogs and should be watched around non-canine pets. Bouviers can live in an apartment but do best in a home with a large yard.
