Rescue Me ID: 18-03-01-00065Marina (female)

Bouvier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Vaccinations Current

MARINA. 1 1/2 YEAR OLD FEMALE BOUVIER/SCHNAUZER. 40 LBS. Great with dogs / people/kids. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped. Adoption fee: $300.00 Marina is a darling girl who hasn't had an easy time of it in her short life. Be advised, we will ONLY be considering applicants who have FENCED IN YARDS and another YOUNG, PLAYFUL DOG so that Marina has a full time friend. She had 2-3 litters of puppies and then was dumped at the shelter. When we got her, Marina's coat was dry & dull, and she was underweight; she'd not received appropriate nutrition or vet care obviously in her past. Marina is flourishing now that she's ... (Read More)getting a good diet, plenty of TLC with people, and lots of play time with her doggy friends. She's become a joyous, affectionate girl who relishes life, loves her canine pals, and adores her human friends. Her eyes sparkle now and she always has a smile on her face! She has so much love to give! Marina is fabulous with everyone; she's not food or toy possessive and readily shares anything she has. She is rambunctious and, as Bouviers are a working breed, will need plenty of exercise; obedience training is recommended for her so as to solidify the bond with her new owners and teach her some manners; her only real fault is jumping when she meets people but she can also use some work on walking nicely on a leash. She's always excited to make new friends! Marina is a fabulous girl who's going to make someone the best family member! Let us know if you want to be that lucky someone! If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application. An application can be found at (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bouvier in Indiana
Bouvier Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Bouvier is a shaggy, intimidating looking dog. Bouviers are quite gentle, pleasant, and mellow. Bouviers are easy to train for obedience and make good guard dogs and watchdogs. Also, Bouviers love children and make great family pets. Bouviers have dominant tendencies and need firm training and socialization starting early. Bouviers are very loyal and can be overprotective of their families. Bouviers can get along well with cats and other dogs if they are raised with them from the time they are puppies. Bouviers may be aggressive toward some other dogs and should be watched around non-canine pets. Bouviers can live in an apartment but do best in a home with a large yard.
