Bishop= 4 yr Male 80 lb Bouvier des Flandres, maybe a mix? Owner moved and abandoned Bishop in a fence. Bishop had been left outside all alone for several years. He was matted so badly, we had to have him sedated to be shaved down so he would not feel the pain. Horrible mats to the skin were causing him pain, he did not want to be touched. Now he loves to be petted! We know he will be a gorgeous boy again soon when his coat grows back in! Bishop loves to be indoors, is doggie door trained and crate trained. He would do best in a home with no children, a firm owner, and 1 other dog or no dogs. He is learning that other dogs are not ... (Read More)scary, and can be fun to play with. He is not food aggressive, nor a barker/chewer. He LOVES to ride in the car and go for walks. Bishop has learned to sit for a treat. He is neutered and microchipped, up to date on all vaccines. He has a painful ear infection he is currently being treated for as well. He has been treated for Heartworms. Appointments will be scheduled once an application for adoption has been submitted. PIease Read Before Adopting a Bouvier in Georgia
Bouvier Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Bouvier is a shaggy, intimidating looking dog. Bouviers are quite gentle, pleasant, and mellow. Bouviers are easy to train for obedience and make good guard dogs and watchdogs. Also, Bouviers love children and make great family pets. Bouviers have dominant tendencies and need firm training and socialization starting early. Bouviers are very loyal and can be overprotective of their families. Bouviers can get along well with cats and other dogs if they are raised with them from the time they are puppies. Bouviers may be aggressive toward some other dogs and should be watched around non-canine pets. Bouviers can live in an apartment but do best in a home with a large yard.
